New England equaled their longest winning run from the Brady era as they beat AFC East rivals the New York Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the New England squad notched an eighth straight win for the first time since star signal-caller Tom Brady's last year with the franchise in the 2019 season

Signal-caller Maye accumulated 281 passing yards and a TD, completing 25 of 34 passes

The win increases the Patriots lead at the top of the AFC East as they improved to a 9-2 record, with the New York bottom after falling to two victories and eight defeats

The opposing team had gone in front at their home field with quarterback Fields rushing for a five-yard TD to conclude the Jets' initial series

But the Patriots fought back in the second quarter as Henderson rushed for two short rushing scores before the running back caught a pass from Drake Maye at the back of the endzone midway through the third period to extend the lead to 21 to 7

"That was a key occasion for him stepping up, and it's been fantastic for him to keep earning playing time," Maye commented on the rookie. "He desires to be excellent."

Fields found John Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to close the gap for the Jets but Borregales kicked a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the Patriots wrapped up the triumph
